Hello, parents! Progress Reports were sent home Friday. For updated grades, be sure you're checking grades online weekly. I generally update the site every week or two. Please don't worry if you see some C's or N's. It is important that you realize that
some skills we will be working on ALL year. If they did poorly on a
test or quiz, it's okay. I will be intervening and we will revisit the
same skills again and ALL year. This is mostly for Language Arts Skills and Math. They haven't mastered all skills YET!

ROAR Store Volunteers Needed!
big part of the success of our PBIS program is our ROAR cards and our
kids being able to “cash them in” at the ROAR store on Fridays during
lunch. We rely on our parent volunteers to run that store and make it
all possible. We don’t need an every Friday commitment, just sign up for any Fridays that you’re free from about 11:30-1:15.

Please be sure to check your child's homework folder and planners daily for what they need to do for homework and notes. Don't forget to sign their planners daily. Also please check this website weekly for updates.

Just a reminder that all of the math lessons are accessible and printable on Envisions website. You can see what lesson we're on by clicking on the weekly snapshot link above. If your child is sick, please refer to those two links to ensure your child is not getting behind. We also read daily for 25 minutes.

Choose one place from the list and do the following:
·Visit the location and take 15- 20 pictures of interesting sites/items
·Create a Power Point Presentation
·Each picture should have its own slide with a short explanation of what it is and how it's important to the Gold Rush, mining, or California History
·The cover slide should have a picture of the place you visited and your name
·The second slide should have 4-7 sentences/bullets about the place you chose and how/why it's important to the Gold Rush. You may include a picture on this slide.
·Your last slide should have a short summary (4-7 sentences/bullets) about what you learned and liked about the place you visited
·You will present this slide show to the class. Be prepared to answer questions.
